Wet electrostatic precipitator can be divided into cross-flow (horizontal) and vertical sedimentation (vertical) according to the exhaust gas flow. The cross-flow type is mostly plate structure and the gas flow direction is horizontal, similar to the structure of dry electrostatic precipitator; The vertical flow is mostly tubular structure and the gas flow direction is vertical.


Working Principle
The working principle of plate electrostatic precipitator is basically the same as the ordinary electrostatic precipitator. The dust-containing gas enters the electric field and the DC high-voltage electricity makes the cathode line release a large number of electrons and ions, which are attached to the soot. After being charged, the dust particles move and deposit on the surface of the dust collecting anode under the action of the electric field force. The dry type is carried out by vibration so that the dust deposited on the Yin and Yang electrodes vibrates down, entering the dust collector and is discharged through the ash discharge device. Wet wash through spray to the bottom of the equipment for collection and processing.
Characteristics of Horizontal electrostatic precipitator
1. Widely used. Mainly used in power, metallurgy, boiler, chemical, waste incineration, building materials and other industries wet flue gas deep purification and ultra-low ultra-clean emissions.
2. Simple process: electrostatic defogger and flue gas desulfurization system integrated design, the newly-built and reconstructive process is simple with compact structure and small floor space. The second modification can be installed in the desulfurization tower without changing the existing desulfurization and dust removal facilities and can run stably for a long time.
3. The flue gas treatment range is large: several thousand to 4 million m3/h (the use of multiple electric fields or multiple sets in parallel).
4. High efficiency: the removal rate of PM2.5 and other particulate matter is 85 ~ 95%; flue dust outlet can achieve 20mg/Nm3 and higher emission standards of 5mg/Nm3; the removal rate of SO3 acid fog is 85 ~ 99% and the corrosion of wet flue gas discharged through the chimney is greatly reduced; the droplet removal rate is 70 ~ 90%; the comprehensive emission reduction of heavy metals and other pollutants. It can improve the cleanliness of flue gas emission and solve the problem of gypsum rain and white smoke.
5. Others: small resistance (< 300Pa); low operation and maintenance costs; service life of more than 30 years.
The electromagnetic field horizontal electrostatic precipitator is more energy-saving. The high and low pressure separation design makes the movement more lightweight and easy to maintain and clean. With small pressure loss, the adsorption efficiency is high and average. However, the soot contact area is not as large as the honeycomb and the treatment efficiency is not as good as the honeycomb under the same volume size.
