Elevator speed limiter: is one of the safety control components in the elevator safety pro-tection system. When the elevator overruns or the wire rope breaks, the speed limiter will act because the speed of the car is accelerated, so that the elevator will be braking on the elevator track by the safety clamp driven by the safety linkage, to prevent the elevator from aling straight down the shaft. Or through the pull cable to drive the upward overspeed protection device action to grip the traction wire rope, to avoid the elevator to the top.
