About Membrane Air Spring
The membrane air spring is a kind of air spring. The membrane air spring uses a special rubber membrane to seal the compressed air, supports the internal loading plate support, and jacks up objects that need to be isolated from vibration. The gravity of the load is balanced by the pressurization or decompression of the air; at the same time, the lifting height of the loading plate is controlled by the safety valve to avoid the damage of the diaphragm. The damping coefficient is controlled by adjusting the size of the ventilation dampers of the upper and lower cavities.
The minimum load of a single membrane air spring is 1.9KN (190Kg) and the maximum is 200KN (20 tons); the natural frequency is 2.1~2.4Hz.
The advantage of the membrane air spring is that the stiffness is small. For the constrained membrane type, the advantage is that the characteristic curve of the air spring is easy to be controlled by the shape of the inner and outer cylinders.
