What are suspension bushings?
Suspension bushings are an important part of the suspension. Suspension bushings are elastic parts that are installed between most suspension components. They ensure that there is no erosion between the different parts of the suspension frame due to metal contact. Essentially, bushings absorb vibrations and noise from the suspension system, limit transmission to the vehicle and control the amount of movement.
Control arm bushings are located between the control arms and the vehicle frame. They are important for tire alignment and directly affect tire wear, handling and vehicle control. Most vehicles use one or two control arms per wheel on the front and rear suspensions, with two bushings on each control arm. Many front-wheel drive vehicles use only lower control arms, while most vans and SUVs have an upper and lower control arm.
