After the piston is heated, the expansion of the piston pin is greater than that of other parts because of the more metal at the piston pin. In addition, the piston will produce extrusion deformation under the action of side pressure. As a result of the above deformation, the cross section of the piston skirt turns into an ellipse of the long axis in the direction of the piston pin.
