SPT/SPMT Introduction
Self propelled modular trailer (SPMT/SPT) is a platform vehicle with a large array of wheels on the bottom and a powerful horizontal engine mounted in the front. They are used for transporting massive objects such as bridges, oil refining equipment, huge motors, large bridge sections, and other objects that are too big or heavy for trucks. It may also be called a self propelled modular transporter.
As SPMTs often carry the world's heaviest loads on wheeled vehicles, they are very slow vehicles, often moving at under one mile per hour while fully loaded. We offer SPMTs which controlled by a hand held control panel (wire, wireless), driver cabin (option). Normal transport capacity from 90T to 3000T up. In addition, multiple SPMTs can be combined to transport massive buliding-sized objects.
SPMT can also be coupled with platform modular trailers. Same height, same width, same couplings - This is the economic supplement/solution in order to create Self-Propelled Transporter units with your existing modular trailers/Multi Axle. We can manufacture as your practical project need and provide the best solution and configuration for you to make full use of your existing modular trailer and resource.
SPT/SPMT feature
Self Propelled Modular transporter consists of Power Pack Unit (PPU) and Modular Unit Trailer, Remote Control. The Modular Unit Trailers are generally available with four or six axles. It divided into drive axle, brake axle, pendulum axle. The energy for the hydrostatically driven and electronically controlled transporters is supplied by a power-pack unit. All sorts of driving manoeuver can be carried out with the steering programs. All-wheel steering along and cross, Diagonal steering along and cross, Front-wheel and rear-wheel steering and Circle steering, with a single vehicle as well as in coupling mode.
Running smoothly and reliably:
By adopting closed-type hydrostatic drive system composed of variable pump and variable-displacement motor, which can realize stepless speeds regulation, running smoothly and reliably.
High carrying capacity:
Can realize combination of modular in end-by-edn and side by side, carrying capacity may increase unlimitedly according to the weight of the cargo.
Great traction power:
Every drive axle may output traction of 12t-16t, and the number of drive axles is configured according to application requirements.
Excellent crossability:
With better crossability and smaller turning radius compared to the same modular trailer. Meanwhile, it can also be equipped with independently electronically controlled multi-mode steering system, to ensure passing under narrow and complex road conditions.
Module combination:
According to the characteristics (outline dimension, tonnage) of cargo, the vehicle group can be combined arbitrarily.
Remote control:
The whole set of SPMT adopts remote control, with broad vision and high security.
