The Wuling MINIEV is the first four seater new energy vehicle under the Wuling brand of SAIC-GM Wuling. It is positioned as a means of transportation for the people, focusing on short distance and convenient travel scenarios, and has launched a total of three configuration models.
On July 24, 2020, the Hongguang MINIEV was officially launched at the 23rd Chengdu International Auto Show, ushering in a "small era" of people's travel. The Hongguang MINIEV new car has launched three versions: the relaxed version, the free style version, and the enjoyable version.
On April 8, 2021, at the "Hongguang MINIEV Macaron # Spring IN Elephant # Wonderful Color Night" event, the Hongguang MINIEV Macaron was officially launched, with two versions: fashionable and premium.
On October 21, 2021, the Hongguang MINIEV Macaron Autumn color was officially launched, offering two color options: Merlot Blue and Coconut White.
On November 11, 2021, the Hongguang MINIEV macaron sandwich model was launched. The new car is a factory customized model, and the interior has undergone exclusive upgrades.
On March 11, 2022, Wuling Motors announced the launch of the Hongguang MINIEV 2022 annual model.
On November 11, 2022, Wuling Motors and KFC announced the creation of a series of themed events called "Sunday Crazy Competition, Surprise Big Drop" to jointly create MINIEV fast food trucks. Wuling LING HOUSE transformed into "KFC Store" and made a special appearance, while KFC Store transformed into "Wuling Store".
On January 30, 2023, the Wuling Hongguang MINIEV won the global sales championship for small pure electric vehicles in 2022 with a total sales volume of 554000 units, reaching 1.11 million units.
In 2023, the Hongguang MINIEV series models were launched in Vietnam and Thailand, officially embarking on a global journey. Hongguang MINIEV is working together globally to activate the vitality of the Southeast Asian market and showcase China's new energy vehicle strength to the world.
