Veinasa-GXYL Optical Rain Measuring Gauge Rainfall Sensor for Agriculture Light is a optical rain sensor. It uses the infraredd light of the beam to detect raindrops touching the outer surface. It is 100 times more sensitive than a typical bucket rain gauge, and a single count of raindrops sends pulse signals.
It has no mechanical accessories. Therefore, it is more durable, sensitive and reliable than the rain gauge of other technologies. The sensor is extremely sensitive and free from interference from other factors. Free from rain water collision and can be moved to measure rainfall. Without exposed parts, the internal conductor will not be corroded by contact with water because it is completely sealed. Rainfall measurement will not be affected by fallen leaves or other sundries.
