The function of the axle housing:
The axle housing is used to install the main reducer, differential, half shaft and wheel assembly matrix, and its main function is to support and protect the main reducer, differential and half shaft. Generally speaking, the ordinary non-broken drive axle housing is a rigid hollow beam supported on the left and right drive wheels, the main reducer, differential, half shaft and other transmission parts are installed in it, and the axle housing is connected with the frame or the carriage by the longitudinal leaf spring. It is an important part of the drive axle and one of the main components of the driving system.
The drive axle housing should have sufficient strength and stiffness, small mass, and facilitate the disassembly and adjustment of the main reducer. The drive axle housing can be divided into three types from the structure: integral axle housing, separable axle housing and combined axle housing.
