With the filter media to separate the container into the upper and lower chamber that constitutes a simple filter. Suspension added to the upper chamber, under pressure through the filter media into the lower chamber as filtrate, solid particles are retained on the surface of the filter media to form slag (or cake). Filtration process of filtration media accumulated on the surface of the slag layer gradually thickened, the liquid through the slag layer of resistance increases, the filtration rate decreases. When the filter chamber is full of slag or filtration speed is too small, stop filtering, remove the slag, so that the filter media regeneration to complete a filtration cycle.
