Product Description
Gas Pressure Sensor
Product No.:TS2105
Measuring range: 0~700kPa
Resolution: 0.2kPa
Accuracy: ±2%
Gas Pressure Sensor is used to measure the absolute pressure of air. It is connected to external air by hose placed at front side of the sensor. Pressure difference between tube and sealed vacuum cavity inside the sensor is formed. That pressure difference is converted to voltage signal. The output voltage is direct proportional to gas pressure.
The hose outer diameter is 6mm and internal diameter is 3mm. There is a syringe provided with this sensor to explore the regulation of gas.
The sensing component of Gas Pressure Sensor is silicon piezoresistive type chip. It is able to convert pressure signal to electrical signal. The principle is piezoresistive effect. When solid deforms due to stress, its resistivity will change. Diffusion technology is applied on the silicon membrane of silicon piezoresistive type chip so that resistive bridge is formed. One side of membrane touches gas and the other side touches to sealed vacuum cavity. Due to stress produced by gas to be measured, the resistance of membrane is changed. After circuit amplifying, it can accurately measure the gas pressure change.

Product General Assembly
Experimental procedures:- Connect apparatus as shown above.
- Open the SWR iLab V8.0. Click 'new' to create new experimental template.
- Click 'new page' and select the sixth template to add new folder (lower right corner).
- Click 'add line' to add 'Pressure-Time' coordinate. Set proper experiment time and acquisition interval such as 1min, 100ms and click 'start'.
- Click 'Manually' to record first set of data (gas volume 60ml).
- Slowly push the syringe piston by 5ml. Click 'manually' (gas volume 55ml).
- Repeat procedure 6 until gas volume becomes 20ml. Record the last set of data.
- Click 'stop' when collecting is completed.
- After collecting, insert gas volume for each manual collection. Observe pressure change with respect to volume.
- Clear up the apparatus.
Temperature Changes with Respect to Time
Notes:
- Operating temperature range: -40°C to 85°C.
- Storage temperature range: -55°C to125°C.
- Operating humidity range: 0 to 100%RH.
- Gas Pressure Sensor can only be used to measure: non-corrosive gas such as air and dry gas.
- The Gas Pressure Sensor can not be used to measure flammable gas.
- Gas Pressure Sensor can be used to measure pressure of steam. Please prevent liquid flowing into hose.
- For the pressure system, there is always air leakage in syringe. Therefore, if an experiment lasts for long time, the influence caused by air leaking will be greater. If possible, complete the test and experiment as soon as possible.
