Loop is normally rectangle, the two longer sides is perpendicular to the direction of vehicle (metal object) motion. The length of longer side depends on the width of road, usually 0.5m less than road width at both ends. Loop perimeter≥10m, 2 turns;6m≤Loop perimeter <10m,3-4turns;Loop perimeter <6m,more than 5 turns.
When two loop configurations are in close proximity, one loop magnetic field is disturbed by another. This phenomenon, known as crosstalk, will cause false detection and deadlock.
It could be eliminated by:
1:Changing loop operating frequency by making different turn number for same-sized loops, such as 4 turns for one, 6 turns for another;
2:Increasing space between two loops to Min.2m;
3:Shielding for feeder cable.The copper single-core wire is the preference for loop cable and feeder. Cable and feeder should be an unbroken wire, or be welded together well if terminals are necessary. wire should be heat-oxidation resistant with sectional area not less than 1mm2.
4:Length of feeder should be 5 m at most , and feeder should be inter-twisted not less than 20 times per meter.
