Grooved Rail is manufactured as EN14811. Grooved Rail is made in an alkaline oxygen converter or electric arc furnace with out-furnace refining and vacuum degassing. Grooved Rail is manufactured from a oved billet. Grooved Rail uses multiple high pressure jetting to remove oxide sheet efficiently during rolling. Grooved Rail shall have a roll compression ratio of no less than 9:1.Grooved shall be delivered as a oved or heat treated product.
In the process of manufacturing the Grooved Rail, we will carry out strict sampling tests on the Grooved Rail produced, including the chemical composition,tensile test,Ultrasonic test,etc.So we can ensure that our production of Grooved Rail has good quality.If any test fails to meet the requirements then two tests shall be performed on samples from Grooved Rail in close proximity to the original. Should either retest fail then rails shall be progressively tested until acceptable material is found. The failed material shall be rejected or in the case of heat treated material re-treated and tested.
