The steel wheel of a steam locomotive and other older types of rolling stock were usually fitted with a steel tire or tyre (in British English, Australian English and others) to provide a replaceable wearing element on a costly wheel.

Tyres can be obtained for a wide range of applications including: locomotives, passenger vehicles, light transit and tramways, heritage railways, and specialist vehicles.

As demand for tyres from the mainline railway declines due to the Monobloc Wheel configuration becoming the norm, it is critical to keep this supply chain open for the ever expanding heritage railway sector, where demand is increasing.

Ruika enjoy a production capacity of 300,000 / year(global first scale). 3 hoop production lines:tires old line, big ring and small ring,The tyres and rings' size covered from Ф600mm to Ф3200mm. All materials of hoops production are provided by  steel rolling plant. Mainly process equipment : 3 sets of 120t converter, one set of 90t LF + VD furnace, a set of third-round billet level caster, three rolling lines, 2 sets of heat treatment equipment, 3sets of CNC finishing line, one test line. Bearing the physical and chemical properties of test for raw materials and wheel. Including the hoop ring products,  occupational health and safety management system all get certification.
 

As Chinese only one factory for producing railway tyres for locomotive,wagons for mainly railway rolling stocks, light rail vehicles for metro and subway, railway car movers and rail-road car in main line railway and underground mining field, our factory enjoy over 60 years production experince, approved by UIC810-1 standard, AAR STANDARD, TB,GB and other.
