Dovetail twistlock is installed on the deck in the lower corners of the first tier to prevent horizontal and vertical movement of containers.
It is used to keep the shipping container on a horizontal surface during transportation and prevent it from moving.
Container twistlock of the rotary type consists of a platform, a head and a rotary handle. The main working part is the curly head. The lock is inserted into the fitting and closed manually using the rotary handle (lever). It is an easy-to-use and reliable fastening method. In addition to this, vertical and diagonal locking elements can be used.
Installation method: The twistlock is welded to the base of the deck/container platform or inserted into special "rails" (base for the twistlock).
